FourSight. How does it work?

If you decide to have a scan performed on your team using the FourSight tool, an introductory meeting will first be held to establish the nature and composition of your team, its task, and your expectations of the team.

Once all of the team members’ e-mail addresses have been collected, everyone will be sent the link to answer the 37 questions on the questionnaire online. Please note: the questionnaire is in English. In our experience, a fairly basic knowledge of English is sufficient for answering the questions. The outcomes of those participating in the study will be presented to the participants during a follow-up meeting lasting no more than half an hour. During this meeting, it will once again be made clear to the participants that this is not a test, but that the resulting profile is merely designed to provide them with an indication of their preferences during the creative process and is not an evaluation of their skills.

After everyone has seen their own results, and if possible, had the chance to share them with the others, they will have a much better understanding of why certain things do not proceed as smoothly during a process than they might have hoped. After all, people are most comfortable and perform best when they are able to apply their own preferences! This is obviously also of key importance for the assignment of certain tasks within the team.

Next, the group profile will be discussed. During this discussion, we can show the participants where any imbalance lies within the team. If, for example, the team is supposed to be working on product development, then you will need to have at least several idea creators and developers on the team.

Although everyone has their own personal preferences during a creative process, and these will clearly emerge when the FourSight research method is applied, this does not necessarily mean that other skills cannot be trained. In fact, through the use of focused training to develop those aspects for which the participant and/or the team does not score well, your team’s and employees’ skills may actually be elevated to a higher level. After the completion of FourSight, creative training programs are then tailored entirely to your company and your employees. The result? You create a well-balanced team that is ready for any creative challenge!
